- Sheet counts are rounded up to whole sheets.

Formula
- Wall area = 2 x (room width + room length) x wall height.
- Ceiling area = room width x room length if included.
- Sheets needed = total area divided by sheet area.
- Sheets with waste = sheets needed x (1 + waste factor).
Example calculation
Example: 12 x 12 room with ceiling
A 12 ft by 12 ft room with 8 ft walls has 384 sq ft of wall area plus 144 sq ft of ceiling area. With 4 x 8 sheets, that is 17 sheets before waste.
